Cold Storage:

MEVI owns Crosspoint, Inc.a South Texas cold storage facility with a 60 container capacity that serves as a primary distribution point.

Production Process

1. Harvest

Overseen by a highly qualified manager, our avocados are carefully hand-picked, and prepared for packing.

3. Manual Fruit Selection

The fruit that does not meet standard is removed by hand, which ensures that the quality of the MEVI avocado pack is the best all year around. The avocados are then separated by size, cleaned, and labeled according to weight.

5. Loading and Distribuition

The containers departing from MEVI are equipped with a cooling system and controlled atmosphere, which is continuously verified by skilled engineers. This maintains the product in the ideal condition as it travels to its final destination.

2. Receiving

After the harvest, the fruit is placed into quarantine and meticulously inspected for any issues. This process is supervised by USDA and SAGARPA.

4. Palletizing and Pre-cooling

The product is gently packed by qualified personnel, safeguarding the excellent condition of the avocado when it arrives at its destination. We maintain a cooling process provided by MEVI’s sister company, Crosspoint.
